I took an early train from Paris to Luxembourg. Plan for a day visit and will continuing my journey to Brussels in the same day, and stay over a night with a couchsurfer there.
It was a bit raining when I arrived in Luxembourg. Directly looking for locker to deposit my suitcase, a found the locker, but I didn’t have enough euro coins. People in Luxembourg might not really like euro coins or use it frequently, I ask almost anyone in the train station none of them have coins, and say no even before I ask them the question. Later I exchange my money in a minimarket with some snack and ask for coins for the changes.

The locker area is horrifying, there is some puddle of water, and some not showered teenagers smoking pots in the corner of the room.
Luxembourg is a small country between France and Belgium; it’s so small and named its capital city the same name as the country’s name, Luxembourg.

I got a free city map in the tourism information center in the train station, and also some direction from the super friendly officer. From the entire banner around the train station, I could tell, Luxembourg is workin on its tourism & travel charm. They made beautiful flyers, or banners and posters that show nice places in Luxembourg worth to visit. But when I see the city map, I assure my self that I should have be able to visit, sightseeing or walking around the city center in a day.

So I walk out the train station, heading to the direction the tourism officer point for me. Walking around and sightseeing, and come inside H&M store and found a faux fur jacket on 70% discount for 10euro! Had a little shopping, and continuing walking.

Luxembourg is so pretty. I wonder why is nobody recommend it to me, they told me to skip Luxembourg, better go to Brussels or directly to Netherlands. For me it’s so worth to visit, even for a one-day visit. Really.
The Luxembourg hills and bridges are the view I always seen in a picture or postcard of Europe, beside, Eiffel tower, or the tulips in Holland, the weather is so fine, I walk effortlessly, and really enjoying my time there. The city is so quite, but it made my hearts calm.

After a couple of hours in Luxembourg, I jump on the train to Brussels in the afternoon, and as the schedule, I’ll arrived in Brussels around 9pm-ish.
